Camouflage complexity

04th March 2017
As evidenced in nature, camouflage can trick the eye and make it hard to see what is right in front of the viewer. In this new photo-art piece, a small curled object is smack dab in the center; but hardly noticeable. There are photos of mud, grass, and drawings all superimposed on one another in varying degrees of transparency on most of the artwork. There was a certain delight in creating the camouflage; as the original forms take on different colors and different shades of light and dark. The lower piece shows a close up the center.
